PROPOSAL FOR INVITATION AND ENTRY PROCEDURES FOR THE
2nd WORLD AIR GAMES HOT AIR BALLOON CHAMPIONSHIP
Invitation process
1. The WAG organisers shall issue nomination invitations to participate to all eligible NACs that have met their obligations to the FAI and have registered for ballooning. Copies of all nomination invitations must be sent to the respective National Balloon Federations and CIA delegates, where these exist, for information.

3. In addition, the WAG organisers shall invite, through the respective NACs, the following:
Only events in 1996 and later shall be considered. If a person qualifies in more than one of the above groups, then his NAC is entitled to nominate the next highest ranked competitor representing this NAC in the event concerned as a replacement in the respective group(s).

5. Each NAC wishing to enter the World Air Games Championships in aerostation shall nominate its entrants in accordance with the qualifying rules in paras. 2 and 3 above. Nominations must be received by the WAG organisers by the time limit for entry published in the invitation.
6. The World Air Games organisers shall accept all competitors nominated by this process irrespective of the final number. There will be no further allocation of places.
7. Only the nomination invitation must be sent by the organising NAC to eligible NACs, all further documents pertaining to the nomination invitations may be directly addressed by the organisers to the nominated participants.
8. The WAG organisers must confirm the receipt of nominations to the nominating NACs and the nominated entrants within two weeks of the nomination deadline. This confirmation may be in the form of the REGISTRATION documents.
9. Pilots-in-command shall have been authorised to act as pilot-in-command of that subclass of aerostat for which the World Air Games Championship is held at least twelve months prior to the start of the event. Each pilot-in-command shall have accumulated at least 50 hours as pilot-in-command of aerostats in that subclass by the closing entry date, unless these experience criteria are modified by the CIA.
10. Organisers, NACs and entrants must adhere to published deadlines for entry. If an NAC fails to respond by the proper deadline or if an entrant fails to fulfil his obligations, the NAC or the entrant in question may lose their respective right to enter, but could be kept on a standby list should vacancies appear.
