1. Problems with No-Show Entrants at WAG 2001 discussed

Decided to remind the Jury President concerned about his duties regarding No-Show Entrants.

2. New documents

The General Section, version 2002 is available on the web.
AX MER has been updated. The tests will be updated if necessary. Questions on GPS will also be included in the revised tests.

4. EVENT OFFICIALS TESTS

Zoltán Palhegyi. Test passed. The result forwarded to Scoring WG for information and action.

5. JURY REPORTS AND ACTIONS.

Protests.

World Air Games: Protest concerning Event Director interpretation of rule concerning throwing a marker when gravity marker drop prescribed in task data. Protest rejected.

2000 Motegi HAB International Championship: Protest concerning ground contact near target. Protest rejected.

Jury reports.

Risto Jalava reported about lack of tools to check scoring

Debriefing reports.

Procedure for GPS measurements have been time consuming. Masashi Kakuda reported that for coming events only three measurements will be required. The full procedure and other measurement requirements are now incorporated in the AX MER.

Competitors asks for early publication of preliminary results. This is a request repeated many times. Copies of measurement team reports should be posted when available.

6. CHECK OF SCORING

Software for check of Elbow and Land run scoring will be posted on the CIA web.

Excel files for Great Circle distance, Land Run and Elbow calculation will be available.

A guide for Elbow task calculation (including penalty) will be added to the Jury Handbook.

7. DISQUALIFICATION

The rules regarding the Disqualification penalty are found in Sporting Code, General Section, rules 5.2 and 5.3. If a pilot is disqualified, those rules have to be followed. It was decided to remind Event Directors and Jurors about the consequences of disqualification penalty.

8. RULE INTERPRETATION

This is one of the duties of the jury. Event Directors are reminded of the possibility to consult the jury before decisions.

9. EVENT JURY NOMINATIONS

Organisers should nominate jurors from all eligible levels. (Entry level jurors for all events except World championships). If not, the Jury Board may appoint jurors who are not nominated.
