The SC discussed the received reports and comments from the Safety Officers. It is important that the SC receives reports from the Safety Officers. A Safety Officer must send in his report before being eligible for a subsequent event.
The SC believes that it is important that the Safety Officer have a briefing with the launch masters before the event.

3 Updating of Safety handbook
The SC do not have any updates for the handbook this year, the small points we recognised that needed to be updated will be updated next year. Next year shall the handbook be updated with more on procedures for Safety Officers in Gas Balloon events. The handbook is today more oriented to Hot Air events.
4 Report on the investigation about medical examination requirements of different countries
The SC thinks this investigation is an important issue and must be done and we will try to have it done as soon as possible.
5 Safety Bulletins.
The SC shall publish a Safety Bulletins on Tethering Balloons. Responsible Don and Bengt.
6 The Safety library.
Jean reported about the contents of the Safety Library. The SC decided to go through all documents.
7 Miscellaneous.
The SC fells that they have to be more informed about the work in Europe Air Sports. The procedures to empty flight cylinders after an event has to be covered in the Safety Officer Handbook.
8 Nomination of Safety Sub-Committee for 200212003.
