The second FAI European Paramotor Slalom Championships opened with a short ceremony on 11 June in Bornos, Andalusia, Spain where the competition is being held from 9-19 June 2016.

For the third time in history, Poland is hosting an FAI Category 1 event for microlights. On Saturday 15 August, the 13th FAI European Microlight Championships were declared open at Kruszyn Airfield in Wloclawek, some 200 km northwest of Warsaw. Teams from 11 nations are competing in 4 valid classes for the title of European champion.

With an outstanding pilot in paramotoring, we would like to carry on with the series of FAI World Record anniversaries: Ten years ago on 23 June 2005, the three Russian pilots Vladimir Makurin, Nikolay Karabchouk and Alexander Bogdanov each broke an FAI World Record with a project named “Troika Air”.

As the 200-day mark to the FAI World Air Games Dubai 2015 approaches, everyone, from the Event Organisers to the Executive Board, the FAI Head Office, the Air Sports Commissions and experts, is in full action to make the event a huge success. A series of meetings took place recently which brought together key personalities from the FAI community and the Event Organising Committee.
