Alexander Kurylev Named Advanced World Champion

Alexandre Kurylev of Russia was named the new World Advanced Aerobatic Champion at the conclusion of the VII. World Advanced Aerobatic Championships in Radom, Poland on Saturday, 12 August 2006. Russia also won the Team Championships followed by the USA in second and France in third. The competition was hampered by bad weather with rain and low clouds on many of the contest days but the Free Programme was finally completed on the last day and the contest declared complete by International Jury President Mike Heuer.
