Igor Erzen
I started paragliding in 1994. A few years later in 1997 I entered competitions for the first time, but I had a lot of bad luck. In 2000 I decided it would better if I helped others, as a club coach and team leader. Since then we have been national club champions every year except one when we were second. Also in 2000 I become president of our club and began to get more involved in organisation and administration. From there, I was elected to be a president for sport in our national HG and PG committee, and a selector for the national paragliding team. Slovenia wasn't that strong back then as an an international player, so we started to work hard on improving. I have organized many competitions, including 10 Cat 2 events, 3 national championships, and one pre-PWC, ensuring that I have always been in contact with the best in our sport. In 2007 I was elected to be one of the board members in our NAC, and I also ran for president in 2009. In 2009 I was nominated as the CIVL delegate, and today I stand here as a vice president of CIVL. My passion for this sport continues, and I hope to keep it that way.
