When asked what he felt was his greatest achievement; what had given him the most pleasure - he answered: In the parachuting context, earning and maintaining the trust of and credibility with competitors, my IPC colleagues and my fellow judges. One great pleasure was in 2001, having climbed Kilimanjaro together, doing a 4 way with Lena, my wife, on her tandem jump at the Kenya Boogie.
Although I have, in the past, been a member of various IPC Competition Committees, my focus now is mainly on our guiding documents; i.e. Sporting Code, Section 5 and the IPC Internal Regulations. I always like to remind my colleagues of two things: We should follow the rules and if we do not like them, then we can change them. There is no such thing as a perfect document!
