Brian is not formally a member of the Bureau, but he is involved in some aspects of its work. He joined CIVL in February 2009. He is the main point of contact for the sanctioning of Category 2 FAI competitions and for inputting the results to the World Pilot Ranking Scheme. He has been flying paragliders since 1994 and hang gliders since 1998. Although British, he has lived near Laragne, France since 2000. He has been involved in organising and scoring paragliding and hang gliding competitions since 2004, including the 2008 Chabre HG pre-worlds and the 17th FAI World Hang Gliding Championship, Laragne, France in 2009.
