Flying Aces’ Coverage of FAI Championships ConfirmedFollowing two years of successful coverage of major events, FAI has decided to confirm its official media partnership with Flying Aces Ltd for the production and distribution of television footage of FAI championships. This footage is used primarily in a television series entitled “Airsports World”. In 2008, this 13-part series served as a showcase for FAI’s championships on five continents, and was broadcast globally reaching potentially 265 million homes and attracting large numbers of new spectators. Production of “Airsports World 2009” has already started and championship organisers are being contacted to arrange for footage to be channelled into the series, with the aim of bringing the competition action to an ever wider audience. Flying Aces’ production staff will themselves oversee the filming of as many as possible major championships on the FAI sporting calendar. Other championships will also be covered using locally produced footage submit by organisers for inclusion in the series. Event organisers can expect to receive full information about this in the near future. Flying Aces have also developed www.airsports.tv, an internet television channel dedicated to air sports. This is already proving popular and greatly increases the public exposure of air sports and FAI events. FAI hopes to build on the success of the previous two years and looks forward to working in partnership with Flying Aces in the years to come. |
