Sporting Code and Annexes
The latest versions of Section 3 of the FAI Sporting Code are:
- Section 3, 2009 Edition, valid from October 1, 2009.
- Annex A to SC3, 2006 Edition, valid from October 1, 2006 (including handicap list 2006)
- Annex B to SC3, including ammendments 1 to 5, valid from
October 1, 2009. - Annex C to SC3, 2000 Edition, 8th Amendment, valid from October 1, 2007.

FAI President Pierre Portmann and new Secretary-General Stéphane Desprez were the guests of Türk Hava Kurumu (Turkish Aeronautical Association) in Ankara on February 16, at a ceremony marking the association's 85th anniversary.

PARIS 11.02.2010 – Aviation Sans Frontières (Aviation Without Borders) received their 2009 Outstanding Airmanship Diploma at a ceremony held at the AéroClub de France in Paris on February 11.

Bidding Underway for the FAI Parachuting Mondial 2012
The Fédération Aéronautique Internationale, FAI - The World Air Sports Federation, announced today that bidding has opened to host the FAI Parachuting Mondial in 2012.
New FAI Secretary General Appointed
Stéphane Desprez, former Competition Director of the 2008 Rugby World Cup in France, has been appointed as the new Secretary General of the FAI – the World Air Sports Federation. He will formally take up his appointment in Lausanne, Switzerland, on 1st February 2010.
