2.2 9th European Club Class Gliding Championship 1996 in Slovenj Gradec, Slovenia. The Slovenian delegate is asked to report.
3 PLANNING ON FUTURE EUROPEAN GLIDING CHAMPIONSHIPS
3.2 10th International European Women's Gliding Championships 1997 in Prievidza, Slovak Republic. The Slovak delegate is invited to report on the preparations.
3.3 9th European Gliding Championships 1998 in Leszno, Poland. The Polish delegate is requested to report on the preparations for this event.
3.4 10th European Club Class Championship 1988. An official bid was announced by the delegate of the Czech Republic at the plenary meeting in March 1996. A decision must be made on 26th October.
3.5 International European Motor Gliding Championships. No bids are at hand as yet but the possibility of a bid from the German Aero Club was announced by Professor Piero Morelli at the March meeting 1996 (see the corresponding minutes, item 8.2, "General", second paragraph).
4 COOPERATION WITH THE EGU The President of the EGU, Fransois van Haaff, has been invited to attend the meeting and to report on the work of this organization.
5 MATTERS NOT SPECIFIC TO EUROPE (for information only)
5.2 26th World Gliding Championships 1999, Bayreuth, Germany. The German delegate is requested to give a short report on the preparations.
5.3 Report on the FAI General Conference 1996 in Bled, Slovenia.
5.4 World Class Glider. Professor Morelli is invited to report on the present status of this class. Mr. David Habercom, President of the World Class Soaring Association (WCSA), has been invited to attend the meeting and report briefly on the work of this organisation.
5.5 World Air Games. Report on the Anadolu Cup 1996 and the present status of the World Air Games by Fred Weinholtz and the Turkish delegate. The organisers are also requested to report on the preparations for the WAG gliding event 1997.
5.6 GPS/GNSS. The Chairman of the GPS Subcommittee, Bernlad Smith, will report. A manufacturers' meeting is planned for the day before the IGC meeting in Paris.
The Chairman of the GNSS Flight Recorder Approval Committee (GFAC), Ian Strachan, is also asked to report on the status of the approvals.
5.7 Barron Hilton Cup. The President will report on recent developments in the sponsoring of this competition, which has been recognized by the IGC as a "first class event".
