2 EUROPEAN MEETINGS
2.2 Paris, 1996
The date must be decided at this meeting. A majority was in favour of a later date, towards the end of October. The FAI General Conference is from 13 to 20 October in Bled.
3 WORKING GROUPS The Chairmen of the three Working Groups which will be meeting on Thursday, March 14 (after- noon) and Friday, March 15 (morning) are asked to report to the plenary meeting. The Chairmen are reminded that the March 1995 plenary meeting requested that mi nutes should be recorded for each Working Group.
3.2 Fixed Rotation Schedule for World Gliding Ghampionships, Thursday, 15.30 - 18.00
Åke Pettersson, Chairman of the Organisation of Championships Subcommittee, has pointed out that, although the idea of having a small number of designated sites which should host the World Gliding Championships on a rotation basis was rejected
, the idea has not yet been thoroughly discussed. Proponents of such a system are therefore invited to explain what benefit it could have. {\AA}ke Pettersson is asked to chair the Working Group.
3.3 Rules, Friday, 09.00 - 12.00 hrs
This Working Group will be chaired by Tor Johannessen, Chairman of the Rules Subcommittee. Having just published a completely new version of the Sporting Code, Section 3, which came into force on October 1, 1995, it would be not advisable to make
any further major changes at this stage. However, the Rules Chairman has agreed to some changes which are deemed to be necessary (see Annex A1). Further proposals have been put forward by the UK (A2), Australia (A3), Austria (A4), Switzerland
(A5), and Italy (A6). Further, numerous mistakes in the cross-references and index have been found, and will be corrected by an amendment (see Annexes B1 and B2).
4 FAI MATTERS
4.2 FAI and the Internet
The FAI now has a connection to the internet, and communication with the FAI office by electronic mail and with other interested people via mailing lists is now possible (see Annex C). The next stage will be the installation of a "World Wide Web
" (WWW) server. This enables documents, including graphics, to be made available to anybody with internet access and the necessary software (WWW browser). The IGC will have its own "page" on the WWW server, and we must decide what info
rmation should be published in this way. For some suggestions see Annex D.
5 IGC BUDGET
5.2 Planning for 1998
6 IGC REPRESENTATIVES ON TECHNICAL COMMITTEES Mr Walt Canon (USA) has been suggested for nomination as the IGC representative on the FAI Medico-Physiological Commission. The US delegate has indicated that another proposal will be made for the Environment Committee.
7 FAI/IGC LOGO In response to our invitation to submit designs for an IGC logo, four proposals have been received, all from Mr Miguel Angel Alcober of Spain.

8.5 GNSS, Chairman Bernald Smith - There will also be a report from the Chairman of the GNSS Flight Recorder Approval Com- mittee Ian Strachan (see Annex F1). - This item will include election of the GFAC as decided at the last meeting.

9 WORLD GLIDING CHAMPIONSHIPS
9.2 26th World Gliding Championships 1999 in Bayreuth, Germany
The German delegate is asked to report on the preparations
9.3 27th World Gliding Championships 2001
A preliminary bid was announced by the Australian delegate at the last meeting (Airfield Gawler, near Adelaide). To date no other countries have announced an intention of bidding. A decision on the site of these championships will be taken
in 1997.
10 EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS
In view of the fact that we now have regular European meetings, the following items are just for information. There will be no discussion or decision except on urgent matters which cannot be deferred to the Autumn European meeting.

The Finnish delegate is asked to give a brief status report.
10.4 9th European Club Class Championships 1996 in Slovenj Gradec, Slovenia
The Slovenian delegate is asked to report on the preparations. Bulletin no 2 with the Rules & Regulations has been mailed to all NACs in December, 1995.
10.5 4th European Junior Gliding Championships 1997 in Musbach, Germany
The German delegate is asked to report on the preparations.
10.6 9th European Gliding Championships 1998 in Leszno, Poland
The Polish delegate is asked to report on the preparations.
10.7 10th International European Women's Gliding Championships, 1997
The Aero Club of the Slovakian Republic have announced a bid, which will be distributed to delegates in due time before the meeting.
10.8 European Motor Gliding Championships

11 WORLD AIR GAMES The Turkish delegate and Fred Weinholtz will report on the present status of the preparations. Bulletin no 1 with the invitation to the "International Gliding Competition 1996 in In\"{o}n\"{u}, Turkey", has been mailed to all NACs at the end of the year 1995.
12 WORLD CLASS GLIDER Piero Morelli, the Chairman of the World Class Subcommittee, will report. Rules for World Class gliding competitions in the USA have been worked out by the Soaring Society of America (see Annex G). Although these rules have only a national validity, they should have the approval of the IGC, since the World Class is the property of IGC/FAI. Also they may serve as a basis for IGC World Class Rules.

17 BARRON HILTON CUP Annette Reichmann will report on the results of the 1994/95 competition period and the rules for 1996/97. Since the International Gliding Commission decided at the last meeting to declare the Barron Hilton Cup as a First Class FAI Event, the rules w ill have to be formally approved by the IGC. They were unfortunately not ready in time to be sent with the Agenda, but will not differ essentially from the previous version, except for the provision of GPS verification.
