| To submit the results for a competition please click here to download the Results Entry Form and save it to your PC. |
| The simplest way to complete the Excel spreadsheet is to fill it in by hand. Alternatively you can import data from web pages into the spreadsheet, please see details below. |
| Once you have completed the form please email to the IGC Ranking System Administrator. I will try to upload results within 48 hours of receipt. If you have any questions please ask. |
| These instructions are based on using Excel 2000 and assumes the user has basic knowledge of using the application. |
| 1. Open an internet browser and navigate to the competition overall results page. Click on the page URL in the address section and press ctrl-C. |
| 2. Open Microsoft Excel and open the results entry form. Place the cursor in cell C16 in the appropriate sheet e.g. for a standard class competition use the "Standard" spreadsheet. |
| 3. Click Data > get External Data > New Web Query |
| 4. A dialog box will be displayed. In section 1 paste the URL from step 1 into the text box, in section 2 select "Only the tables", in section 3 select "None" and click ok. |
| 5. The data should appear in the spreadsheet. If any columns are in the incorrect place, select the data and press ctrl-x. Put the cursor in row 16 of the cell you wish to paste the data and press ctrl-V. |
| 6. If the day results are displayed on separate web pages, then you'll have to fill the spreadsheet in by hand. |
| 7. Enter the pilots ranking system IDs in column A. Click here to view a complete listing of all the pilots in the Ranking List alphabetically by surname along with their Pilot ID's. |
| 8. Those pilots that don't have IDs, please separate their first and second names into the correct columns. |
