On Line Contest (OLC)
The FAI and "Segelflugszene non-profit GmbH" (organizers of the online contest) have signed a memorandum of understanding. Click the logo for further details.
Sporting Code and Annexes
The latest versions of Section 3 of the FAI Sporting Code are:
- Section 3, 1999 Edition, 8th Amendment, valid from October 1, 2007.
- Annex A to SC3, 2006 Edition, valid from October 1, 2006 (including handicap list 2006)
- Annex B to SC3, including ammendments 1 to 3, valid from
October 1, 2005. - Annex C to SC3, 2000 Edition, 8th Amendment, valid from October 1, 2006.
6.1 Task Options
The Organisers shall set one of the following types of task each Day. They shall select at least two different types during a Championship, but none of them should be used for more than 67% of the Championship Days. The Tasks selected for the Championship shall be stated in the Local Procedures. The options are:
- Racing Task
- Speed Task - Assigned Areas
- Speed Task - Pilot Selected
- Distance Task - Assigned Areas
- Distance Task - Pilot Selected
The required percentage of Tasks applies to each Class.
IGC Pilot Ranking List
The following pilots are currently leading the rankings:
- Gyorgy Gulyas (HUN)
- Sebastian Kawa (POL)
- Olivier Darroze (FRA)
Communication channels
Mailing lists: The IGC has 2 public mailing lists. Both lists are used to disseminate official FAI/IGC information such as notification of world records, information on championships, news/press releases etc., but one may be used in addition for discussion. You do not need to subscribe to both. Choose between:
IGC-DISCUSS, discussion is allowed on this list, on topics relevant to gliding and IGC. No attached files! Max. 64 kB per posting.
IGC-NEWS. Only for information, discussion is not allowed. The list is moderated.
