9th European Paragliding Championships Morzine/Avoriaz France 29 June – 14 July 2006

Last Official Reminder from the offices of CIVL and European Organizers

The deadline for receiving the Entry form is the 1st of April.
The deadline for receiving the payment of the Entry fees is the 10th of April.

The maximum team sizes will be 6 (any gender) + 2 (female).
The basic nations allocation will be:

Top 8 countries : 5 (any gender) + 2 (female) pilots.
Top 9 to 15 countries : 4 (any gender) + 2 (female) pilots.
Other countries : 3 (any gender) + 2 (female) pilots.

The re-allocation procedure will start on April the 1st.

Vacancies will be re-allocated to teams below 5+2 using the current re-allocation procedure up to the level of 5+2.

If, at the end of this procedure, there are remaining vacancies, they will be re-allocated in the following manner:

- 8 or more vacancies left: they will be offered to the nations in nation rank order (1, 2, 3…).
Any remaining vacancies will be available to non-European guest pilots in the top 50 of the WPRS,
- less than 8 vacancies left: they will be available to non-European guest pilots in the top 50 of the WPRS.

According to the Section 7B (14.3.2), effective 1st May 2005, the team size will be determined according to the WPRS
(World Pilot Ranking Scheme) available on the 1st of March 2006 at

The minimum requirements for a pilot to enter this Championship is either:
• being ranked in the top 1000 of the current WPRS.
The WPRS taken into account will be the one available on the 1st of March 2006 at http://www.fai.org/hang_gliding/rankings/index.php?pkUpdate=20060301&pkD...
• NEW... having flown in competition 2 flights over 50 km, or 2 flights with a goal at over 40 km.

These selection criteria will be submitted by our good offices to the Selection Committee.

The Selection Committee is made up of:
