CIVL News & Press Releases << Back to the Press Release Index >> AEROBATIC WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS (HG & PG) There is an offer to organise in the near (not too distant) future the first World Aerobatic Championships in HG and PG. Since this is the first event of this format, CIVL would like to appoint a Working Group, with the aim of presenting proposals for adoption at the next Plenary meeting. The work which needs to be done includes: Produce a set of rules for HG and PG. Note that the existing WHGS Aerobatic format rules are available and certainly could be used with some modifications where necessary. Produce a judging system according to General Section 4.3.3 Produce a selection system to be sure that all participants at the Championship acquire the necessary skill level to compete safely. Produce a set of safety requirements for the organiser and the site. Note that in October 1988 a meeting on that matter was held by PWC and the minutes are available from the PWC secretariat. Those present at this meeting : G. Tuchschmid, G. Blondeau, D.Eyraud, Alain Zoller, H. Arch, M. Kung, A. Rose and Y. Goueslain.
