Scoring for Hang Gliding WAG Champion and World Championship Titles
Individuals:
Class 1:
Males or females who are World Team members are eligible for the World Champion title and the WAG Champion title. Females including those who are not World Team members are eligible for the WAG Champion title and the Women's WAG Champion title provided the two pilot limit is adhered to -- see * below.
Class 2:
World Team members--males or females--are eligible for the World Champion title and the WAG Champion title.
Females (if more than 8 representing 4 countries are present) are eligible for the Women's World Champion title and a Women's WAG Champion title.
Teams:
Class 1
Team size in Class 1 is made up of 8 members (of either gender), with a maximum of 6 males per team.
World Championship Title Class 1
Only the designated world team (six members) count in the World Meet scoring, on the basis of the best 3 members per team/day (see * below).
WAG Championship Title Class 1
Team size in Class 1 for the WAG Championship scoring is made of 8 (6+2) members, maximum of 6 males per team. The best 4 per team score every day.
Class 2:
Team size in Class 2 is made of 6 members (of either gender), with a maximum of 4 males per team.
Team size in Class 2 for the WAG Championship and World Championship
scoring is made of 6 (4+2)
The best 3 per team score every day.
*Each country must designate the name of the members of the selected World team, and those who are the extra two (if any) that will be added for scoring on the WAG team. Teams that have more than 2 females on their eight person Class 1 WAG team or 6 person Class 2 WAG team must appoint the two females competing for the WAG Women's Championship (any extra females present are eligible to score for the WAG team). These designations must be given to the organizer before the first competition day.
The extra two members added for the WAG team are posts for females. Teams in class 1 have a limit of 6 male members maximum and 4 male members maximum in class 2. These extra posts can be filled up by a male member, only in the case that they don't exceed the previous limit (6 male members maximum in class 1, 4 male members maximum in class 2).
