WAG Paragliding selection procedures: Allocation after the 30th of April

According to the previous press release, the selection committee decided to allocate one more pilot to the following teams in the order of the Country Ranking and the Section 7 provisions:

New Zealand - Sweden - Norway - Australia - Brazil - Czech Republic - USA - Portugal and Korea.

This brings the total number of eligible pilots to 141.

The 9 remaining places are reserved for pilots who meet the additional requirements (i.e. top 2/3 PWC or 100km+ flight) but who have not yet qualified via Section 7 5.11 (the 2/3 rule). These pilots have until 31st May to meet the Section 7 qualification requirements.

After the 31st of May if there are available places they will be allocated to the following countries one by one:

Slovenia - Spain - Canada - Sweden - Australia - Czech Republic - Portugal - Slovenia (a second additional pilot)

Note that these are the only countries who nominated eligible pilots. When the additional pilots have been allocated to these countries, if there are still places available (which is in theory possible, but unlikely) the top 5 countries will be granted a 6th pilot.
