Free Movement of Pilots version 3 16/08/01

The Free Movement of Pilots document, which gives information (provided by each country) on recognition and acceptance of IPPI cards and insurance requirements has been updated:

New inclusions:
  • Netherlands
  • Portugal
In addition there is information on permitted radio frequencies in:
  • Canada
  • Turkey

26 countries have now supplied information which is available in pdf format at the following website http://www.fai.org/hang_gliding/general/free-move.pdf

CIVL are still waiting for replies from those countries who are not listed in this document. Please note that a non-reply does not indicate non-acceptance of IPPI card or no insurance requirements!

It would be much appreciated by CIVL and pilots around the World if the information from the following question is included in this document.....

What radios and radio frequencies are permitted for hang gliding and paragliding in your country?

Please e-mail answers to this question to Paula Bowyer (paula@fai.org). Responses will be included in the next update of the Free Movement of Pilots document.
