The FAI Sportive Code is the reference regulating document for all the FAI international competitions and records. The documents applicable to the microlight discipline are the General Section and Section 10. Before the competitions, all aircrafts have to comply with the technical specifications which are set up in Section 10, including the accessories or navigating aids (e.g. strong recommendation for the use of parachutes).
During the competition, all national Team leaders, pilots, co-pilots, technical support staff, etc.. at any level of responsibility within the competition, either flying or on the ground, are supposed to comply with these rules.
Similarly, Section 10 gives clarification on the organization of the competition itself, including the role of the Course Director, the International Jury, the Stewards or Marshals.
