This event concluded the series of test competitions conducted throughout 2008 (Schedule). Some 200 athletes traveled from Europe, Oceania, Africa and North America to attend the various Test Events, thus allowing the Organising Committee to gain experience of the World Air Games 2009 competition rules and technical infrastructure. During the forthcoming months, additional smaller events will be held to continue gathering experience and testing specific technical elements of the 2009 Games such as, for example, live tracking or TV production.
