In exactly one year, on Saturday 6 June 2009, the opening ceremony of the World Air Games 2009 will be held in Turin. Last Saturday, almost a year after the organization of the World Air Games 2009 had been awarded to the city of Turin, test events for Parachuting, Aerobatics and Helicopters (Photos) were held at the Torino Aeritalia Airport, the main venue of the 2009 Games.

The rules for FAI's Young Artists Contest 2009 have been published and the theme for the 2009 contest is "Create a Poster for the World Air Games". The deadline for the competition is 14 April 2009 and the rules, along with more information about the contest, can be found here.
