CIAM NEWS: Aeromodelling Sporting Code Announcement
23/12/2002 | Posted by Thierry at 05:05 PM

Those interested in the official 2003 Aeromodelling and Space Modelling Sporting Code will now find it posted to the FAI website. The volumes are identified by specific category names and may be downloaded individually. You are encouraged to download the general section, Volume ABR, in addition to a specific category, since often references are made to information within that volume in event rules.

At the beginning of each volume you will find information addressing any changes which may have occurred for 2003. These changes are further identified within the volumes by the use of double lines in the margin next to the text.

Please note that in Volume ABR you will find margin lines beginning with paragraph B.7 and continuing through B.19. The major portion of this text is unchanged. However, it has been completely reorganized and simplified by rearranging and combining text from other sections which address the same subject. Some of these items were previously found in "Section 4C - Model Aircraft."

Currently, the Organizer Guides, which were previously found in a printed supplemental section, are under review. We look forward to continued improvement in the Sporting Code format in the future.

Ladies and Gentlemen, that is all I can think of at the present. Thank you again, for all your hard work and carefully considered judgment in these matters. I sincerely trust that each of you will have a joyous holiday season and a most productive new year.

Bob Underwood
CIAM Technical Secretary
