The deadline for the submission of rules proposals to CIVA closed last month. All of these documents are now available on this website.
Various CIVA sub-committees will be meeting this summer to consider these proposals. Rules and Judging will meet in Lakeland, Florida, USA, just prior to the World Aerobatic Championships on 24 June. The Glider Sub-Committee will meet in Hungary during the World Glider Aerobatic Championships.
Each committee will publish its recommendations thereafter and these recommendations will be considered by CIVA when it meets in plenary session in November. The meeting will take place on a cruise ship between Stockholm and Helsinki.
WAC JUDGES FINALIZED

The Board of Judges for the XXII. World Aerobatic Championships in Lakeland, Florida, USA has now been finalized. A group of 9 Judges will choose the new 2003 World Aerobatic Champion when approximately 50 pilots from 10 countries gather at this important competition.
Chief Judge of WAC will be John Gaillard of South Africa. John has been serving as the Chief Judge of the WAC for several years and is the world's most experienced chief. On the panel will be Osmo Jalovaara (FIN); Francis Itier (FRA); Graham Hill (GBR); Aldo Marengo (ITA); Juan Jose Sanz (ESP); Vytautas Tautkevicius (LIT); Yuri Tarasov (RUS); L-G Arvidsson (SWE); Juan Jose Sanz (ESP); and Alan Geringer (USA).
The Judges will begin their work when the first flight of Programme Q takes place on 26 June 2003. The World Champion will be announced at closing ceremonies on 4 July 2003. The celebration is planned to be held at Sea World in Orlando, Florida --- owned by Anheuser-Busch, one of the sponsors of the competition.
