World Pilot Rankings Update 1st January 2003

Added in this update are 2 Paragliding comps and 1 HG comp. Deleted are 2 HG comps and 1 Paragliding competition.

HANG GLIDING (Class 1)
The Buenos Aires Flatlander was added and the Millau Classic 2001 was deleted. Results of the Korean HG League have still not been received, nor the South African HG Championships or the Open Canarias so were NOT added.

There are no changes to the top 10 with Manfred Ruhmer (AUT) still leading.

In the nations ranking there is very little change, Austria remains in 1st place, Germany 2nd and France 3rd.

PARAGLIDING
The Copa Ruitoque and the All Africa PG Champs were added. The PWC in Greece and Switzerland were deleted.

The top 10 stays the same with Steve Cox (SUI) leading.

There are some changes in the top 10 in the nations ranking. Switzerland lead but Germany just takes 2nd from France with Japan close behind. Great Britain stays 5th but New Zealand continues its rise into 6th above South Africa and Austria. Spain rises to 9th and Korea complete the top 10.

CLASS 5
There are no changes to the rankings, Christian Ciech (ITA) still leads in 1st place. There is no change to the Nations rankings either, USA still leads.

PARAGLIDING ACCURACY
There is no change to the ranking, Matjaz Feraric (SLO) still leads from his fellow Slovenians; Matjaz Sluga and Simeon Klokocovnik. The highest placed non-Slovenian is Croatian Josef Rabic in 13th.

Slovenia still leads with GBR in 2nd and Yugoslavia in 3rd.

CLASS 2
No changes, Brian Porter remains in 1st.
