WPRS Update December 2003

PARAGLIDING
Added were the PG Champs in Hakuba, Japan and the PG World Cup La Reunion. Results still not received so NOT added: Victoria Cup Donovaly, Swiss PG Champs, Tropheo Montegrappa, Jaen Open, X Copa Pirineus, Greek Open (Amfikela), Pedrobarnardo Open, Portuguese Open, Brazil Nationals, Algodonales Nationals. Deleted were the Alpen Open, Berchtesgarten, Dutch Open Flatlands, Hadong Open, Ukranian Open.

The top 10 remain the same, with Alex Hofer (SUI) leading, Norman Lausch GER) 2nd and Helmut Eicholzer (AUT) 3rd.

In the nations rankings Switzerland maintain their lead, France stays 2nd, Austria moves up a place to 3rd deposing Japan to 4th. Germany and the UK remain 5th and 6th while Italy, the Czech Republic and Norway gain a place to be 7th, 8th, and 9th. South Africa rebounds down 3 places to 10th. PARAGLIDING ACCURACY
No competitions were added or deleted. Results not received so not added were the Greek Nationals and the European Cup UK.

There are no changes to the top 10, Matjaz Feraric (SLO) retains his lead, Andy Shaw (GBR) is 2nd, Matjaz Sluga (SLO) 3rd.

In the nations, Slovenia lead, GBR is 2nd and Serbia and Montenegro in 3rd.

HANG GLIDING (Class 1)
The 22nd Birdman Cup (Japan), Japan HG Open was added and some corrections to the German Open. Deleted were: Alpen Open, Canadian Nats, Croatian Open, Eva Menyhardt, Wildkogelpokal, Japan Nats and the Ukrainian Open. Results still not received so NOT added were; Open Serra de Estrela, Upper Austrian, Brazilia, Italian Val Comino Challenge.

There is no change to the top 10 individuals or nations rankings, Manfred Ruhmer (AUT) leads, Antoine Boisselier (FRA) is 2nd, Oleg Bondarchuk (UKR) 3rd.

In the nations rankings, France leads Germany with Austria 3rd.

CLASS 5
The Japanese Open was added and the Alpen Open was deleted.

There is no change to the top 10, David Chaumet (FRA) stays top, with Christian Ciech (ITA) 2nd and Alessandro Ploner (ITA) 3rd.

USA still lead but Germany takes 2nd from Switzerland.

CLASS 2
No competitions were added or deleted so there is no change to either the individual or nations rankings. Brian Porter (USA) leads Manfred Ruhmer (AUT) with Robin Hamilton (UK) in 3rd.

USA is in the nations top spot, GBR is 2nd, Germany 3rd.
