From 8.0 a.m. this mornings the final papers for the Plenary Session have been available for study, the last closed meetings are hold and at 10 a.m. the 1st Plenary Session starts. The room has filled with representative Delegates, Alternate Delegates and Observers from 31 different countries (5 proxy votes from countries not present). In all 71 official representatives are here to hear the reports from the various committees and decide the future direction, officers, and competitions for International Parachuting.

The day's business went very quickly, proving that the open meetings had achieved their objective of allowing discussion and giving the committees a good indication of the general feelings of the delegates to their proposals.

The President introduced the delegates to a new book published on Skydiving. This is the first book in the Arabic Language on Skydiving. Entitled "Adventures over the Clouds" the book has six chapters covering the History, International Organisation, Training, Safety, Competition Rules and 257 colour pages - lost of photographs. The book is currently on the market in the Arabic World. 3,000 copies have been printed.

The book has been written by Mubarak Swailim Al-Swailm, Delegate for Saudi Arabia.
