Jury Meetings and DecisionsPROTEST 1The first protest of the competition was decided by the Jury at a meeting on 7th August 2007 held at 10.30 hrs. A Protest was received from Team 420, Russia, Sky Panters regarding their round 2 score of 23 points. The Team Leader of "Sky Panters" protested the Judges decision on point 10 of Round 2, stating he believed the four (4) judges where incorrect in awarding a Penalty. The President of the Jury gave the Team Leader two opportunities to withdraw his protest. He declined the offer. Decision: Section 5, (a) Protest was not made in accordance with Section 5, 5.3.1.4. Therefore the protest was declined. President of the Jury: Igor Van Aperen Jury Members : John Smyth, Alberto Martin Paracuellos PROTEST 2The second protest of the competition was looked at by the Jury at 17.30 hrs on 7th August 2007. Again the protest was received from Team 420 Russia (Sky Panters) 4-way Open Team. They protested the Round 4 score of 19 points and the Round 5 score of 25 points. The Team Leader of 'Sky Panters' protested the results for his team in Rounds 4 and 5. He requested that the judging panel revise the results as he did not agree with their decision. He stated to the Jury Panel that he did not believe that the judges panel were being objective. Before receiving the Protest the Jury President again gave the Team Leader the opportunity to withdraw his protest, reminding him of the decision this morning. He again declined the offer. (a) The Protest was not made in accordance with Section 5, 5.3.1.4. (b) Section 5, 5.3.1.5. states that no protest on scores or evaluations by Judges may be made. Therefore the protest was declined. President of the Jury: Igor Van Aperen Jury Members : John Smyth, Alberto Martin Paracuellos PROTEST 3A third protest was considered by the Jury at 9.15 hrs on Wednesday 8th August 2007. The protest was presented by Team 420, Russia, (Sky-Panters) in relation to Round 6, Score 18 points. The Team Leader of 'Sky Panters' protested the result for his team in Round 6. He requested that his Team's results in Round 6 "be revised as his Team were not satisfied with the decision of the Judges". The Jury President again pointed out that two previous protests of the same nature had failed and again gave him the opportunity to withdraw the protest. He declined the offer Stating "I wish to continue because it appears that thes is no consistency between the Judging relating to different countries". (a) Protest was not made in accordance with Sporting Code 5, 5.3.1.4. (b) Section 5, 5.3.1.5 states that no protest on scores or evaluations by Judges may be made therefore the protest was declined. President of the Jury: Igor Van Aperen Jury Members : John Smyth, Alberto Martin Paracuellos PROTEST 4The fourth protest was presented to the Jury at 16.15 hrs Wednesday, 8th August 2007. The protest was made by Team 419, Norway, "Arcteryx" Round 8 Score 21 points The Team Leader of Arcteryx submitted a protest to the Meet Director asking for the judging panel to give a second viewing of their round 8 stating they believed a second viewing was "warrented". The Jury President gave him the opportunity to withdraw his protest quoting Section 5, 5.3.1.5. On reflection the Team Leader accepted this offer and withdrew his protest.
