The Red Bull Air Race World Series 2008 season got underway on April 10th and 11th with a spectacular kick-off at Abu Dhabi (UAE), followed by a full programme of races at locations throughout the world.
FAI works closely with the Red Bull Air Race World Series, providing safety supervision services and ensuring the highest safety standards for participating pilots.
The Race Programme for 2008 is:

- San Diego (USA) May 3/4
- Detroit (USA) May 31/June 1
- Stockholm (SWE) July 5/6 CANCELLED
- Rotterdam (NED) July 19/20
- London (GBR) August 2/3
- Budapest (HUN) August 19/20
- Porto (POR) September 6/7
- TBC, Spain (ESP) September 27/28
- Perth (AUS) November 1/2
