Sporting Code Section 3 Rewrite – Update #3

On the 8th of April I wrote to you detailing how we would provide more opportunities for the Sporting Code Section 3 to be studied. An update was sent out on the 24th of May. This newsletter is to update you on progress.

The 2nd Draft of the SC3 has been available on the web since mid-May.

The next deadline is Tuesday the 1st of July. This is the last day for making submissions and comments on the 2nd Draft Please go to the IGC website for information on how to receive a copy for your own study. Please send your comments to Ross Macintyre or myself for distribution.

Change in Annex C of the FAI Sporting Code Section 3

Paragraph 13.6 of Annex C has been deleted, because it no longer relects the correct interpretation of the Sporting Code. The new version can be downloaded here.

New Version of Annex B

The latest version of Annex B (REQUIREMENTS FOR EQUIPMENT USED FOR THE VALIDATION OF FLIGHT PERFORMANCES) to Section 3 of the FAI Sporting Code has been published. It is valid from 1 October 2007 and includes amendments 1 to 4. Follow this link to go directly to Annex B.
