Helping balloon pilots to a pilot's behavior and attitude when flying, with regard to
rules and regulations affecting the flight, other air users and the people in his care. In
one word, leading them to AIRMANSHIP, what means the practical application of training,
skill, experience and professional judgment.

- Continued updating of the Safety Handbook.
- Follow medical regulations regarding licensing in JAA countries are increasingly more
intricate. This includes doping control though the WADA. The
Subcommittee recommends that NACs should look into the national possibilities to limit the
testing program. Competitors should update their knowledge of doping regulations before
taking part in international events.
- The subcommittee will collect Curriculum Vitae of from Safety Officers before they are
considered to be elected as Safety Officer for a major event.
- The subcommittee will put together a recommended reading list of publications on safety
related issues.
