2020 Indoor World Cup - Rescheduled

FROM THE ISC AND THE ORGANISER OF THE 2ND FAI EUROPEAN INDOOR SKYDIVING CHAMPIONSHIPS 2020 and the 4TH FAI WORLD CUP OF INDOOR SKYDIVING 2020.

Due to the ongoing situation caused by the virus COVID-19, the ISC and the Organiser are sorry to announce that we have come to the conclusion that the above event already postponed to October 2020 will be postponed again.

Back in March, it seemed sensible to postpone the competition to seven months later but the way the situation has evolved, that is no longer realistic. The current situation shows that the virus is still very active with a resurgence in a number of countries on different continents including new lockdowns. Without any doubt, international travel will not be back to normal for some months if not years and many countries still have quarantine arrangements. The question of a second wave in Europe in the autumn is still very much taken seriously.

The 4th FAI World Indoor Skydiving Championships due to the proximity of the date and the advanced progress of the organisation, remain scheduled from 8th to 11th April 2021 in Liptovsky Mikulas, Slovakia.

Consequently, and in agreement with all the Organisers involved, the 2nd FAI European Indoor Skydiving Championships and the 4th FAI World Cup of Indoor Skydiving will now be rescheduled to April 2022. Details will be discussed at the next ISC Plenary Meeting which is scheduled to be held in Bucharest, Romania in January 2021 although alternative arrangements may become necessary if the virus situation continues.

More detailed information will be communicated directly to the delegations who were registered to participate in these competitions.
We thank you in advance for your understanding of this unique situation. If you have further questions or comments, please contact either the Organiser directly (havard@airspace.be) or the ISC (ipcgillian@gmail.com).
