CIVL Paragliding Accuracy Judges’ Seminars

CIVL is planning to run several seminars for Paragliding Accuracy Judges during 2017 and it is intended that they should coincide with international competitions.

The first international seminar will take place in May 2017 at the 9th FAI World Paragliding Accuracy Championships in Vlora, Albania, shortly followed by another one during the Pre-event 1st FAI Open Asian-Oceanic Paragliding Accuracy Championships in Lopburi province Thailand. The next one is to be organized at the Pre-Europeans & PGAWC in September in Kobarid, Slovenia currently pending permission from the organizers.
It is anticipated that these will be followed by others during PGAWC events besides additional seminars can be run upon the request of NACs or PG Associations, for example there will be a seminar in UK organized together with the BHPA Paragliding Accuracy Committee in April, 2017.
These seminars are intended for the novices wishing to become PGA Judges as well as experienced judges who wish to get formal approval and offer their services to CIVL and competition organizers. It is intended that each judge who attends a CIVL-run seminar will have their own CIVL ID number and there are plans to provide ‘judging licenses’ valid for FAI competitions in future.
