European PGA 2024 will be held in St Peterburg in Russia

CIVL Plenary 2022 has awarded the 8th FAI European Paragliding Accuracy Championships to be held in St Peterburg in Russia. The landing field is located near the village Villozy, Lomonosovsky district of  Leningrad region (St Peterburg) The distance from Pulkovo International Airport is 11 kilometers. The proposed dates of the championships are 12 – 21 September 2024. The event is organized by Paragliding Club Skystream and the Ultralight Aviation Sports Federation of the Leningrad Region. 

 

The Ultralight Aviation Sports Federation and the Skystream Club have been organizing PGA and XC competitions since 2011 and in this very place since 2013. During this time, about twenty PGA competitions have been held, including the Russia Cups, 2 Championships of Russia, and the Brilliant Foot Cup 2019 2nd stage.
The main flights' zone is Tuutari park. The 700 X 500 meters field is located 10 minutes drive from the Main Competition Camp, HQ, and a 40 minutes drive from Pulkovo International Airport. Suitable for flying in all wind directions. From above, beautiful views of St. Petersburg area open up. Nearby the landing area there are two good restaurants, a big shooting club, a ski resort, a horse farm, and several small hotels. Excellent car accessibility and stable cellular/mobile connection. Local SIM cards with internet will be provided.
