FAI General Conference 2025 heads to Finland with a refreshed format

FAI is pleased to announce that the 119th FAI General Conference will take place from 22 to 24 October 2025 in Vantaa, Finland. This year’s annual meeting, hosted by the Finnish Aeronautical Association, will debut a refreshed format designed to enhance dialogue and collaboration within the FAI community.

While the Conference will retain its vital plenary sessions, it will also feature a new forum titled “Working Better Together” which will include workshops, keynotes and roundtable sessions. This initiative aims to foster meaningful conversations and cooperative problem-solving among all the FAI stakeholders.

FAI President Greg Principato expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming event:

"I am truly looking forward to gathering with our Delegates for the 119th FAI General Conference, hosted by our friends at the Finnish Aeronautical Association.

Vantaa — the country’s main international gateway and home to the Finnish Aviation Museum, which celebrates a rich heritage — offers an ideal setting for our global community to come together.

“With its redesigned format, this year’s Conference will remain anchored by the important plenary sessions, while also serving as a dynamic forum for dialogue, collaboration, and the exchange of practical solutions — all in the spirit of Working Better Together. Participants will leave with fresh ideas, shared knowledge, and new connections to support air sports all year round."

Janne Vasama, President of the Finnish Aeronautical Association, commented:

"We are honoured to welcome the international air sports community to Finland for the FAI General Conference. Finland has long been a land of innovation and excellence in aviation, and our athletes have demonstrated remarkable success across various air sports disciplines.

Their achievements reflect our nation's deep-rooted passion for flight and the relentless pursuit of excellence. This conference is a fantastic opportunity to evolve ideas, celebrate achievements, and shape the future of air sports together. We look forward to hosting our esteemed guests and sharing Finland’s rich aeronautical heritage with the world."

Registration for the Conference will open during May.
