Indonesia Asiania Safety Day - Jakarta - April 7th 2018

Safety in sport skydiving is a must, so that information and knowledge as well as dicipline in following the procedure always need to be published. The commitment in safety skydiving are seen in 80 jumpers who attended the meet and discussion about safety skydive in Indonesia, an event that supporting the ASIANIA Safety Day, a campaign about safety skydive by ASIANIA Parachute Federation every April 7th that is locally organized by Indonesia National Safety in sport skydiving is a must, so that information and knowledge as well as dicipline in following the procedure always need to be published. The commitment in safety skydiving are seen in 80 jumpers who attended the meet and discussion about safety skydive in Indonesia, an event that supporting the ASIANIA Safety Day, a campaign about safety skydive by ASIANIA Parachute Federation every April 7th that is locally organized by Indonesia National Parachuting Association (Pordirga Terjun Payung FASI).


The event was held on April 7th in Mega Bank Tower, South Jakarta. The participants came from 5 Provincial Parachuting Association and 13 civillian/military skydiving club in Indonesia. The speakers of the event were senior jumper, member of IPC-FAI Safety & Technical Committee, Safety Division of Federation Aerosport of Indonesia and Mr. Mubarak (President of Air Sport Federation of Asia) from Saudi Arabia, a very experienced jumper in Asia who are now in process to bring Paragliding first time to be competed in Asian Games JakartaPalembang 2018.

The discussion session attracted many jumpers from different clubs to share their experiences regarding safety skydive. The President of Indonesia National Parachuting Association, Mr. Nisfu Chasbullah, also spoke about the need of every club to report every skydiving activity including if happened any accident/incident so that the information can be reported to IPC-FAI for studying and analyzing the data.

In the end, Indonesia National Parachuting Association declare its supports that skydiving will be competed in Asian Games 2022 in China, as well as supporting Indoor Skydiving to be competed in the Olympics.
