Official Training day and Team Manager Meeting

On Friday 24th October some late arriving participants and teams who had problems with their flight connection arrived at Ji’anJinggangshan airport and checked in at the dropzone at lunchtime.  The morning was dedicated to a rehearsal of the opening ceremony which will take place on Saturday 11am in front of the hangar atTong Ping airport in presence of a number high ranking local dignitaries from Ji’an and Jangxi province. The good news for the athletes is that all will be seated behind their country signs and watch the performances and official speeches.

Already the road to the airport is decorated with flags and signs to lead the way from Ji’an city out to the dropzone, where an impressive setup of temporary infrastructure for this 16th World Cup of Style an Accuracy landing was completed today. Unfortunately no training jumps could be accomplished because of a temporary airspace restriction and the Meet Director explained that the guaranteed airspace for the competition will be granted for the competition days. So at 4pm the standby on the dropzone was called off and the Official team Manager Meeting was re-scheduled to the evening in the Grand Skylight hotel.

The meeting took place in a friendly atmosphere and the usual information about exit commands, wind speed and jump procedureswas given and the draw for the Freefall Style competition was made. 
All startlists were finalized and the startnumbers handed out to the teams. 
As there is a strong WiFi connection at the dropzone, all results can be followed online at Airshots result site as well as on a big screen behind the target area and the official result lists will be uploaded to the ISC/FAI result portal.

The schedule for Saturday 25th will be to start the missing training round at 08:00 followed by 1st round of Accuracy landing competition. From 10:30 until the end of the opening ceremony which will include a spectacular skydive display and firework there will be a break and then we hope to continue with the competitionfrom noon until sunset.
