At the 106th FAI General Conference in Antalya, Turkey (19-20 October 2012), the bid by Thailand to host the 108th FAI General Conference in 2014 was unanimously approved by the FAI Members.

The Organiser Agreement was signed by Group Captain Veerayuth Didyasarin, President of the Royal Aeronautics Sports Association of Thailand, John Grubbström, FAI President, and Jean-Marc Badan, FAI Secretary General.

The 108th General Conference will take place on 10-11 October 2014 in the city of Bangkok.
