FAI Medico-physiological Commission (CIMP)
Testing Pool
Until end of 2014, Article 5.5.1 of the FAI Anti-Doping Rules required that the FAI shall identify a Registered Testing Pool (“RTP”) of those Athletes who are required to comply with the whereabouts requirements of the International Standard for Testing.
With the new World Anti-Doping Code and therefore the new FAI Anti-Doping Rules as of January 1st, 2015, this requirement has been modified and reduced.
The FAI has now created for 2015 a Testing Pool which comprises high level athletes from all over the world. The criteria for selection have also be lightened and the athletes are mostly podium athletes in Category 1 events in 2014, selected first after results and second after random selection.
