Drone racing is one of the fastest growing sports in the world, so it's no surprise the FAI Drone Racing World Cup is going from strength to strength !

The 2018 FAI Drone Racing World Cup was the biggest so far, involving a total of 669 pilots from 41 countries, up from 435 pilots from 37 countries last year. It was won by French Junior pilot Killian Rousseau.

The 2019 edition looks set to be the most exciting one yet with the launch of a new Masters Series of events designed to attract elite drone racers from around the world.

The new Masters Series is part of the FAI Drone Racing World Cup and is run in addition to the existing Challenger Series. It will culminate in the FAI World Drone Racing Championship Grand Final which will take place at the end of the year in China. The top three competitors from each Masters Series event will automatically qualify for the Grand Final.

The FAI has also added the brand new discipline of Drone Soccer to its Sporting Code as a provisional class. So watch this space for the first – demonstration – international tournament , due to take place later this year in Korea!
