The year 1922 saw the first meeting of CIMP, the FAI Medico-Physiological Commission. Its mission was – and remains to this day – to enhance flight safety. By the study of medical and physiological factors that influence human performance and behaviour in the air sports environment, CIMP members contribute to making aviation safer for all involved.
The first WADA Annual Symposium since 2019 was held in hybrid format in Lausanne between 11-12 June 2022 and was attended by around 600 delegates in person as well as over 200 online.
The World Anti-Doping Agency approved a new version of its World Anti-Doping Code during their last Conference. This has come into force on 1 January 2021.
This required a revision of the FAI Anti-Doping Rules. The new code also gave us some extra flexibility with details in our FAI rules. After a thorough and careful review, the FAI Anti-Doping Rules have been approved by WADA and by the FAI Executive Board and have come into force on 1 January 2021.
